Spent about $80 on a proper torque wrench for panel lugs and it saved a call back today.

Watched a buddy snap a bolt on his valve cover because he was just going by feel. He had to buy a whole new gasket set and lost a weekend of driving. That click from a torque wrench is such a cheap peace of mind.

Ever think that click just gives a false sense of security, @palmer.val? I've seen more wrenches out of spec than guys with a good feel.

Honestly, how many people actually get their torque wrench checked and calibrated? I've seen guys use the same one for years and just trust the click. Watched a guy at the shop put wheel lugs on with one that was way off, they were way too loose. Feels like you need a second tool just to make sure the first one is right.
