Took me 5 years to realize my torpedo level was off

I used the same old torpedo level on every panel and conduit run since my apprenticeship, trusting the bubble without ever checking it. Last month I grabbed a brand new one from my foreman and noticed my level was reading about a quarter bubble off, which meant all my vertical pipe and box mounts were slightly tilted for years. Anybody else ever found out a basic tool they relied on daily was just quietly wrong the whole time?

Saw a similar story on a building forum where a guy found his tape measure was stretched after years of abuse, so every stud he cut was short by an eighth. Tools get knocked around and nobody checks them until something looks off. Good on you for catching it, but its wild how long we trust the gear without a second thought.
