Fixed a 2010 MacBook Pro with a trick I saw on a forum from 2012

The board had that classic GPU failure, and I was ready to give up. On a whim, I tried the old oven reflow method with a cheap toaster oven I got for $20, following the exact 385-degree, 8-minute bake from a super old post. It actually booted up and has been running for a week now. Has anyone else had luck with these crazy old fixes on newer stuff, or did I just get stupid lucky?

Baked an old Xbox 360 with the same trick and it's still kicking years later, lol.

Call tech support and tell them you're preheating to 350 for your GPU. See how fast they hang up on you. Honestly though, your house smelling like burnt thermal paste is the real cost here. Nothing says "I love my electronics" like seasoning them like a frozen pizza. Hope you have good ventilation and a fire extinguisher nearby.
