That customer who brought in a 1980s radio taught me something about patience
Last month a older gentleman came into my shop with a vintage receiver that had been his dad's, and instead of rushing me he just said 'take your time, it's been sitting for 30 years.' Anyone else had a customer remind you that not every repair has to be done in 20 minutes?

Had a guy bring in a 1970s turntable last month. Nice reminder to slow down.

You ever notice how something old can make you stop rushing around? My buddy got one of those old turntables from his dad's attic last year and it changed his whole vibe. He told me the first record he played was some scratched up Fleetwood Mac album and he just sat there on the floor listening to the pops and crackles. Said it felt like he actually heard the music for the first time in years instead of just having it on in the background. Now he's got this whole ritual of picking a record and dropping the needle every night after work instead of just scrolling on his phone. Makes me wonder if we're missing out on something by skipping straight to digital everything.
