Blew $150 on a digital level and it died after 3 months in my truck

Thought I was getting fancy with that Klein digital level, but the battery contacts corroded from humidity in my work vehicle. Anyone had better luck with a specific brand that handles the abuse?

Was it the Klein that died on you, or a different brand altogether?

Yeah the "was it the Klein" part is what got me thinking. It seems like when any expensive tool breaks people assume it was the cheap one that failed. I've noticed this same pattern with phones and cars where people blame the budget option first without even checking.
