Can we talk about how hotel elevators are always set to the wrong floor?

I was in Chicago last weekend at the Hyatt Regency and their elevator bank was stuck defaulting to the lobby every single time. It added like 3 minutes to each trip because the car kept stopping there even if nobody got on. I checked the controller and they had the hall call priority set way too high. Has anyone else seen hotels mess up their floor priority settings like this?

At this rate the elevator's got more frequent flyer miles than I do.

Lol @lindahunt, I gotta push back a little on the "frequent flyer miles" thing. I mean yeah the elevator gets used a lot but that's kind of the point of having one, right? It's not like it's gonna rack up points for a vacation somewhere, it's just doing its job going up and down all day. But I see where you're coming from, it does feel like you're always waiting on it or riding it more than you ever thought you would. Still, I'd take that over taking the stairs ten times a day any time, my knees would give out way before I got any miles.
