I chose the old Otis relay system over the new MRL controller on a 6-floor building last month

The MRL was quieter and used less power but after 3 breakdowns in the first week I swapped back to the relay and it ran smooth for 22 days straight, anyone else still sticking with the old stuff when it makes sense?

Figured the hard way that sometimes old tech just runs better.

Old relays have decades of proven reliability while the new MRLs still have firmware bugs to work out. A six floor building doesn't gain much from the power savings if it's constantly shutting down for repairs. You made the right call going back to what actually works in that situation.
