Spent 4 hours on a simple relay swap, then found the E-stop was wired backwards

It was a routine MRL job downtown, supposed to be a 45 minute door lock relay swap. Got everything labeled, swapped it, and the car just sat there dead. Spent 3 hours chasing continuity, checking safeties, pulling prints. Finally my apprentice asked why the E-stop was wired to normally open. Someone had put a new plate in and wired it backwards. 4 hours for a 45 minute job.

Man thats the kind of stuff that makes you wanna flip a table lol. Its like that time I was putting together a bookshelf from IKEA and spent an hour trying to force a screw in the wrong hole because the diagram picture was flipped. You get so focused on following the steps that you forget to check if the basics are even right. Its wild how often the simplest thing gets overlooked because you assume someone else did it right the first time.

Start with the wrong screw and you'll be there all night. Happens to the best of us.
