Spent 6 hours chasing a ghost short on an MRL yesterday

Turned out to be a worn door lock contact that was only intermittent when the car was level with the 3rd floor, how many of you guys just replace all the contacts on a full mod instead of testing each one?

6 hours for a door lock contact? I'd say that ghost owes you some overtime pay.

@alicecooper you're not wrong but I had a friend who did a favor for his neighbor replacing a simple light switch. Took him almost four hours because the wiring in that old house was spaghetti. He ended up having to redo the whole junction box because the previous owner had done some sketchy stuff. By the time he was done it was dark and he had only charged the guy like forty bucks. That's the kind of job where you learn real quick to quote time and a half before you even touch a screwdriver.
