Wasted $300 on a cheap hydraulic jack for the shop

Bought a no-name hydraulic jack off Amazon for $300. Thought I was saving money. Leaked oil everywhere after three weeks. Lost a whole day cleaning it up and waiting for a replacement that never came. Anyone else get burned by those bargain jacks on freight elevators?

Gave out lifting a loaded pallet" is exactly the kinda nightmare I keep seeing. It's like society forgot how to make things that last. Everything's designed to break the day after the return window closes. I notice it in tools, appliances, even clothes now. Pay a little more up front and you get something that works for years. But everyone's hooked on that low price tag and nobody wants to hear it until their cheap jack dumps oil all over the floor.

@skyler_fox72 Tell your buddy to check Harbor Freight's return policy. I've dealt with jacks failing like that before and the key is never trust a jack alone always use jack stands. That extra ten bucks for stands saves your foot every single time.

Man my buddy Tom bought one of those cheap jacks for his truck. Thing gave out lifting a loaded pallet and dropped it right on his foot. Lucky he didn't break anything but man that was a scary mess.
