Debate: Do enterprise ISPs really need static IPs for most business setups?

I see everyone in this community insisting static IPs are essential for any serious business, but I run a small logistics company in Austin with 50 employees and we've used dynamic DNS for 3 years without a single issue. Am I missing something obvious or are people just overcomplicating things? Has anyone else tried cutting static costs and regretted it?

Why do people act like a static IP is the only way to run a business? For 50 people doing basic logistics and web stuff, dynamic DNS is totally fine. You don't need a static unless you're hosting servers, running VPNs that require fixed addresses, or dealing with some picky payment gateways. I've seen small ops waste money on business Internet plans just to get a static they never really use. If your setup works and you're not pulling your hair out, I say keep your cash. Don't fix what ain't broke.

Don't fix what ain't broke" is solid advice, but dynamic DNS can still break sometimes if your IP changes mid-session.
