Got burned by a 'business grade' fiber contract that doubled my rate after 12 months
Signed a 3 year deal with a regional fiber provider for $450 a month thinking I was getting a solid deal for my crew's office. After the first year they hit me with a fine print escalation clause and now I'm paying $880 with no way out for another 18 months. The speeds are fine but the billing department gave me the runaround for 2 weeks before someone finally explained the junk in the contract. Anybody else get trapped by one of these long term ISP deals that look good up front?

I mean, did they actually show you the escalation clause before you signed?

Honestly feels like people blow this way out of proportion. Most sellers barely glance at those clauses unless your offer is way off.
