Hit a weird milestone last week... 500 Mbps symmetric for a rural school district
We finally got fiber to a middle school out in the boonies and our latency dropped from 45ms to 8ms, but now the admin wants to know why they can't stream 4K video in every classroom at once... anyone else dealing with bandwidth expectations that don't match the infrastructure?

My buddy works at a small library that finally got fiber after years of dial-up. First week they had it, someone complained the Wi-Fi wasn't fast enough to stream a live baking competition in the main reading room. They had to put up a sign explaining that 50 devices pulling video at once is gonna choke like a school bus in a snowstorm.

Well, that's just the way things go now isn't it. People see "fiber" and think it means unlimited everything everywhere all at once, same as how folks buy a new phone and expect it to fix their bad cell reception.
