Satellite vs fiber for our remote office in Elko, Nevada was no contest

Tbh I spent 3 months fighting with a satellite ISP for our field office out near Elko and we switched to fiber last week - the latency difference was like 80ms vs 450ms on a good day. Has anyone else found a hidden extra fee in their satellite contract after the first year?

Man, that hidden fee thing is such a pain. We got blindsided by something similar on our satellite plan and it honestly felt like a whole different company took over the billing after year one.

I read somewhere that satellite contracts often sneak in a "network management fee" after the first 12 months that bumps the bill by like $15-20. We got hit with that on our old rural setup and it just kept climbing every year.
