Debate: Is offering lash lifts worth the hassle or too risky?
I was talking to a esthetician from Portland last week who swore lash lifts are her biggest profit maker, but another girl in my study group said she had three clients with damaged lashes in one month and dropped it. For me, the chemical process makes me nervous even with proper training, but the demand in my area is huge. Anyone else weighing pros and cons on adding this service?

Honestly people act like lash lifts are some kind of rocket science but it's really just perm solution on a rod. I watched my sister do them on herself in her bathroom with a kit from Amazon and her lashes are fine months later. If you're properly trained and patch test for allergies the damage talk seems overblown. Three clients in one month sounds like that girl was either using bad product or skipping steps.

People act like everything from lash lifts to changing your own oil is gonna blow up in your face, but most stuff is just following steps. I've seen that same attitude with people who freak out about doing their own gel nails at home, like the world is ending if you don't go to a salon. Meanwhile half the stuff we buy at the store is designed for regular people to use safely if they just read the instructions. Your sister's experience is probably more common than the horror stories people post online. The three clients in one month thing does sound like somebody messed up the timing or left the solution on way too long. Just goes to show that confidence without care is still gonna cause problems no matter how simple the process looks on paper.
