Dermarolling at home made me eat my words

I used to think at-home dermarolling was a total gimmick, like those $15 jade rollers. Then my coworker in Tampa showed me her results after 6 months of doing it twice a week with a 0.5mm roller. My skin texture was honestly so patchy that I finally caved and tried it myself. Has anyone else been surprised by an at-home tool that actually worked, or am I still just lucky?

Turns out my old electric face scrubber did more for my skin than any serum I ever bought, even though I only used it because my cat knocked it off the counter. Kind of makes me wonder what else I've been sleeping on. So yeah, sometimes the cheap stuff wins.
