Had a Monday with three no-shows, then a Tuesday where everyone tipped 30%

Monday was brutal. Three people booked facials at noon and just didn't show. Tuesday made up for it though, three clients all tipped 30% plus one bought a full retail kit. Anyone else have weeks that swing this wild?

The "three no-shows on Monday" part hit close to home. I started sending text reminders the night before and it cut my no-shows by a ton. Tuesday sounds like a dream though, I had a similar bounce back last month where a couple big tippers made up for a rough start. It's like the universe balances things out sometimes, but I still have to remind myself to not get too down on the bad days.

Have you tried switching to an automated reminder system that texts the day before? I used to get burned by no-shows every week until I set that up and my cancellations dropped by like 60%. It doesn't fix every rough Monday but it made the bad days way less frequent for me.

See it all the time in this industry... the universe gives you a terrible day just to remind you the good ones exist. @miles798 hit on something real with those reminders though, I swear the days I miss sending them are the ones people forget. It's like how traffic works, you'll sit through a four mile backup and then suddenly it clears up and you're flying. We just gotta ride the wave and not let the slow days kill the momentum.
