I thought those LED light masks were just a TikTok fad, but my client's results changed my mind
A regular came in last month with stubborn jawline acne that wasn't budging with our usual facials. She'd been using a blue light mask at home for about 6 weeks and honestly, the inflammation was way down. I was super skeptical, so I looked up some studies from a dermatology journal and the science is there for specific wavelengths. I'm still not sold on every color setting, but I'm adding a targeted blue light step to my acne protocol now. Has anyone else started integrating these into their treatments, and which devices do you trust?

Totally get the skepticism. Had a client with the same issue on her forehead. Started using the Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro for its blue light setting. Saw a real drop in active breakouts after a month of her using it as part of her routine. The research on blue light for killing acne bacteria is pretty solid.

Honestly, that blue light thing can really help. My sister had a stubborn patch on her chin and tried a similar mask, not that exact brand but one with blue light. It took a few weeks but her skin cleared up way better than just creams alone. Makes sense if it's killing the bacteria. Just gotta be patient and stick with it.
