I was at the botanical gardens in Denver and saw a woman with the most incredible, healthy-looking skin, which made me think about the impact of consistent, gentle care.

She told me her routine was just a mild cleanser, a basic moisturizer with SPF 30, and a weekly clay mask, which felt like a good reminder that sometimes simple is best for skin health.

Totally agree. Read something similar about how over-washing can strip your skin's natural oils.

Switched to washing my face just once a day and it made a huge difference. My skin feels way less dry now.

Hang on, is washing your face once a day really that big of a deal? I've been doing twice a day for years and my skin's fine, not dry or anything. Feels like people get really dramatic about this stuff, like skipping one wash will magically fix everything. Unless you're using some harsh sandpaper cleanser, I doubt it matters that much. Maybe it helps some people, but I think it's more about the individual skin type than some universal rule.
