Just had to choose between a new steamer and a high-frequency machine for my small studio

I went with the steamer because my main issue was prepping skin for extractions, and it's been a game changer for stubborn congestion. After three weeks, my extraction times are down by about 15 minutes per facial. Anyone else faced a similar budget choice for their treatment room?

Wait, you mean there are people who actually pick the high-frequency thing first? I mean, the steamer is basically the MVP for getting pores to open up without a fight. I tried using one of those wands once and felt like I was just zapping my clients for no real reason. The steamer gets the job done and doesn't look like a sci-fi prop.

Actually, high frequency is meant for after extractions, not to open pores.

Okay, Wendy's point about the steamer is dead on. That's the tool for opening things up. The high frequency wand is for after you clear a pore, you zap it to calm the redness and kill any bacteria you might have stirred up. Using it first is a waste of time and does look pretty silly.
