Picked a lash lift kit over getting extensions done at a salon

I had to decide between buying a $35 lash lift kit from Amazon or paying $120 for extensions at a place in Portland. Went with the kit and did it on myself last Saturday. Took about 40 minutes and honestly the results look pretty close to what I get from a pro. Anyone else here try doing their own lifts at home or is that just asking for trouble?

So glad you tried this because I’ve been thinking about doing the exact same thing for months now. Honestly spending over a hundred bucks every few weeks on extensions just seems like too much, especially when the DIY kits are so much cheaper. I mean maybe it’s just me but I think if you’re careful and watch some tutorials it can’t be that risky. I’ve seen some people say the glue can be tricky but yours turned out great so that gives me confidence. I’m probably gonna order one this week, thanks for sharing this.

That glue is the make or break part honestly. I've done this three times now and the first time I used too much and it was a mess. You really only need a thin line along the weft, not a whole strip of glue. Also let it sit for 30 seconds before pressing it on so it gets tacky, otherwise it just slides around.
