Pro tip: I used to think a facial steamer was just for opening pores until a client in Boise asked me to steam her engagement ring clean.

Honestly, I would have probably tried to clean a ring with my shirt or something. The only thing my facial steamer opens is my sinuses when I have a cold. That's a genius use for it though, I never would have thought of that. Makes me wonder what other normal stuff around the house has secret cleaning powers. I'm definitely trying this if I ever need to clean anything small and shiny.

Right? I've used a steamer on my glasses when they get all greasy from fingerprints, works like a charm! Vinegar is my other go-to for weird cleaning jobs, it gets rid of hard water spots on my shower door. I bet a steam shot would be perfect for cleaning around the buttons on a remote control too, all that gunk just melts away. It's way better than wiping with a cloth and just pushing the dirt around.

Oh, have you ever tried using a little rubbing alcohol on a microfiber cloth for those remote buttons? I was desperate one day with a sticky TV remote and just dabbed a tiny bit on a cloth, not soaking wet, just damp. It got into all the cracks without leaving any moisture behind, and the buttons looked brand new. I also found that a q-tip with a bit of alcohol works for those super tiny gaps on a keyboard or game controller. It's wild how the gunk just lifts off instead of smearing around like with a wet paper towel.
