Spent $200 on a 'clinical grade' peel kit that did absolutely nothing
After six weeks of using it exactly as directed my skin looked the same and the active ingredients had probably degraded before I even opened the box - has anyone had luck with at-home peels that actually work?

Yeah, actually I gotta gently push back on that batch code thing. Most clinical grade peels don't even have visible batch codes on the outer packaging, and even if they do, the expiration date is usually just a general guideline for stability. I mean, the real problem is probably that home peels just can't match what a derm does in office, no matter how 'clinical grade' they claim to be. Like, the pH has to be super low to actually peel, and most at-home kits can't get away with that because people would burn their faces off. So it's less about the ingredients degrading and more about the formula being watered down to be safe for home use.

You said "the active ingredients had probably degraded before I even opened the box" and that really got me thinking. What brand was it? Because I've heard some of those clinical grade peels are super sensitive to light and heat during shipping. Did you check the batch code or expiration date before you started using it? I'm wondering if that's the real issue here, not the product itself.
