Discovered the silent culprit draining my phone battery all day

I kept losing 30% battery by lunch even with light use. Last Tuesday in Omaha I finally checked my settings and found Facebook had background app refresh on for 12 different apps. Turned them all off and now my phone lasts until 9 PM easy. Anyone else find random apps silently eating their battery like that?

Hard disagree on this one. All those background app refreshes are what make your phone feel snappy when you actually want to use something. Turning them all off might save battery but then you wait for stuff to reload every time you switch apps, which is just annoying. Maybe the real fix is just charging your phone during lunch like a normal person.
