Finally figured out why my phone battery was dying by 3pm daily

I was out in Denver last week and my phone kept dying by afternoon. Annoyed me so much I started googling and found out it was my constant location tracking for weather and maps even when I wasn't using them. Turned off background app refresh and location for like 15 apps I never use. Now my battery lasts until midnight easy. Anyone else find a random setting that saved their battery?

...and then I realized my phone was constantly trying to connect to my car's Bluetooth even when I was sitting at my desk. Turns out my car was saved as a known device from months ago and the phone kept pinging it every few minutes. Turned that off and gained about 4 hours of battery life. Also found out my work email app was refreshing every 15 minutes for no reason.

I actually found that it was my health app syncing with my old fitness tracker. Even after I stopped wearing the band, the phone kept trying to connect to it in the background. Turned off Bluetooth scanning and health data sharing for that device, my battery went from dead by 2pm to lasting past dinner. Also killed the Find My network stuff that pings other people's devices even when you're not looking for anything.
