I finally got my phone photos organized after 4 years of chaos

I was sitting in my car waiting for my kid at soccer practice last Tuesday and realized I had like 8,000 photos just dumped on my phone. I couldn't find anything from last summer's beach trip or even a screenshot I took two days ago. So I spent that whole practice just making folders by month and deleting blurry dupes. Now I can actually pull up a specific picture in like 10 seconds instead of scrolling for 5 minutes. I used Google Photos for most of it, just dragged stuff into albums on my laptop. It seriously took less than an hour total and I feel way less stressed about my storage now. Has anyone else let their camera roll get totally out of hand before finally fixing it?

Oh I've been there, deleting stuff in batches while my phone screamed at me for storage.
