My password manager vs the sticky note method, no contest

I kept all my logins on a sticky note next to my monitor for like 2 years. Then my cat knocked it behind the desk and I spent 3 hours locked out of everything. Switched to Bitwarden last month and honestly it saves me time every day. Has anyone else made the switch from paper to a digital password manager?

Yeah the sticky note thing works until it doesn't. One thing I gotta correct though - you said you switched to Bitwarden but Bitwarden is actually a password manager, not a digital password manager. Like, there's no real difference between "digital" and "password manager" because password managers are already digital by definition. It's like saying "I switched from paper to a digital spreadsheet." Kinda redundant. Anyway, glad you made the swap. Bitwarden's solid, especially for free. Just make sure you've got your backup codes saved somewhere safe, maybe even write them down on paper and put it in a drawer. Circle of life I guess.

Hitting that point with Bitwarden, you really gotta treat your master password like the keys to your whole life because losing that means losing everything you locked up. @kaib18 nailed it about writing down the backup codes, I keep a copy in my wallet and another in a fire safe because you never know when your phone dies or you get locked out. Bitwarden's been solid for me too, but it's that one weak point where the whole system falls apart if you don't have a fallback.
