She pointed out I had over 4,000 unread messages and said it was impossible to find anything important. I finally set up three simple Gmail filters to auto-sort receipts, newsletters, and social alerts, and it cleared up my main view in a day. Auto-archiving anything with "unsubscribe" in the body was a game changer for me lol.
