My smart home lights locked me out for a whole afternoon

I spent 3 hours trying to get my Philips Hue lights to reconnect after a simple router restart. The app kept saying 'bridge not found' even though everything was plugged in. I finally had to reset the entire bridge and re-add all 15 bulbs manually. Has anyone else had this much trouble with a basic network hiccup?

Ugh, that's the worst. Honestly, I just unplug the bridge for a full minute, then restart my phone before opening the app again. It usually finds it after that.
