Pro tip: Don't just close your laptop lid when you're done for the day

Last week in Denver, my laptop battery swelled up overnight because it was always plugged in and asleep, not fully shut down. Anyone know a good app to schedule a weekly shutdown?

My buddy Mark in Austin had his work laptop battery puff up like a pillow last month. Same thing, always on the charger and just sleeping. He ended up setting a calendar reminder to shut it down every Friday.

Wait, it can swell up overnight? That's terrifying. I just leave mine plugged in all the time too. Might have to start shutting it down for real.
