Bought a fancy scanner last March for my side gig, but it kept jamming on receipts from Chicago clients. Then I tried a free app on a whim during tax season and it nailed every crumpled slip in seconds. Anyone else ditch dedicated hardware for their phone camera?

...which reminds me, I tried to scan a menu at a diner last week with my phone and ended up with a blurry pic of my thumb instead. Still better than when my old scanner ate my passport photo right before a trip. Phones are basically magic now, I guess.
