That time a teenager at the library showed me a phone trick I still use
I was at the public library in Des Moines last month trying to scan a bunch of old family photos on their flatbed scanner. This kid, maybe 15, walks up and says 'you know you can do that with your phone in like 30 seconds, right?' He spent five minutes showing me how to use the built-in document scanner on my iPhone camera. It actually works better than I expected for basic stuff. Has anyone else had a younger person casually blow their mind with a simple tech tip like that?

Honestly, that kid probably learned it from a TikTok, not the manual.

Is it really that deep though? People act like reading a manual is this sacred art form but half those things are written so bad you'd need a translator anyway. TikTok tutorials can be hit or miss but at least they show you the actual steps in real time. Manuals are great until you hit the section where they assume you already know what a "torque spec" means. Long as the kid figured it out and didn't break anything, who cares where they learned it.
