Thought password managers were a scam until I got hit with a phishing email last Tuesday

I work remote for a small company in Denver and got an email that looked exactly like our IT guy asking me to reset my work login. Almost clicked it but my password manager flagged the site as fake. That thing saved my butt. Now I use it for everything even my Netflix login. Anybody else have a moment where a tool you didn't trust proved you wrong?

My Bitwarden caught one that looked like it came from our actual HR person, down to the signature font. Which one are you using now? Did it take you a while to stop second-guessing every login?

Man, same thing happened to me last fall. I always thought password managers were just another thing to pay for and set up. Then I got an email that looked exactly like my bank's fraud alert, even the logo was right. My manager wouldn't let me open the link, just popped up a red warning. That was the moment I shut my mouth and started using it for every single account, even my stupid grocery store rewards login. Took me about a week to stop second-guessing every time I logged in, but now I don't even think about it. It's just part of how I browse now.

Had the exact same thing happen to me. Password manager caught a fake login page that looked perfectly real. Won't ever go without one now.
