My grandmother's handwritten recipe card said 'a pinch of love' but my sister translated that as three extra tablespoons of sugar
We argued for twenty minutes at Thanksgiving about whether 'love' meant sweetness or patience, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had a family recipe ruined by someone interpreting the vague instructions too literally.
