Old family cornbread recipe vs the modern box version
I've been making my grandma's cornbread recipe for years now, but last month I was in a rush and grabbed a box of Jiffy instead. The difference was wild - her recipe uses buttermilk and real cornmeal, and it comes out dense and a little sweet. The box stuff was way too light and crumbly, almost like cake. Has anyone else tried switching back to a family recipe after using a shortcut and regretted it?

Hits harder when you skip the modern stuff.

Miss the point completely since the modern stuff actually gave us cleaner sound and better production.
