Doubted a guy about hoof angles for 10 years until last Tuesday

Old farrier named Bill at the Michigan State Fair kept saying my front hooves were 3 degrees off. I laughed it off. Finally checked with a gauge and he was dead right. Horse moved totally different after the fix. Anyone else have an old timer call it perfectly?

Tripping in the arena" sounds like a confirmation bias problem, not hoof angle, @jennifersmith.

Old Bob down at the county fairgrounds told me my mare's hind hooves were 5 degrees too upright and I brushed him off for two years. Finally broke down and bought a hoof gauge after she kept tripping in the arena, and sure as hell he was spot on. That old guy never touched a digital tool in his life, but he could read a hoof better than any vet I've met (and I've met a few).
