My crease nail puller snapped clean in half mid-shoe yesterday

Was working on a heavy draft cross in the afternoon and the old Farrier's Choice puller just gave out after about 6 years of use. Anyone else had a favorite tool break at the worst possible time and had to scramble for a backup?

My buddy's nippers broke right in the middle of trimming a hot mare last spring. He had to borrow a rusty old pair from the barn owner, total nightmare.

Oh man that's brutal lol. Nothing worse than gear failing you at the worst possible moment. Especially with a hot mare you already gotta be on your toes. Rusty nippers just add another layer of stress when you're already trying to keep your cool. Your buddy probably learned the hard way to always carry a backup pair now haha. I'd be paranoid after that.
