I was stuck on a jacket pattern for weeks until I tried draping the muslin on a dress form backward

Seeing the fabric fall in reverse on my old Wolf form showed me the shoulder seam needed to move a full inch toward the back, so has anyone else fixed a fit issue by literally turning things around?

Love that trick. Sometimes you just have to look at a problem from a totally different angle to see the answer. It's wild how flipping something around can make everything click.

Wait, you mean the detail about how the light shifted changed the whole thing for you? I had to read that twice to believe it. Sometimes what we miss is right there if we just move a little.
