My brother's custom denim jacket got the family seal of approval

I've been tinkering with a denim jacket design for my brother (he's always been hard to shop for). I added some custom patches from our old band tees (a nod to our teenage years). When I showed it to him, he tried it on right away and didn't take it off all evening. Our mom even said it looked 'put together' which is high praise from her. I was worried the fit would be off, but it sat just right on his shoulders. Honestly, seeing him wear it with a big grin made all the sketching worth it.

Getting a "put together" from mom is the real win. Those family nods on handmade stuff can be so hard to come by. Sounds like you nailed the fit, which is always the tricky part.

Seriously, my pal sewed a dress for her sister's wedding. She messed up the zipper like three times but finally got it perfect. Her mom, who's super picky, said it looked store-bought. That's the highest praise from her, lol. My friend was over the moon for weeks.

Store-bought" from a picky mom is the ultimate win. That zipper struggle makes the praise even better.
