Wearing stiff jeans all day used to kill my back. Now designers think about spinal health.

My old Levi's 501s from the 90s are still the most comfortable jeans I own. The new stretchy stuff often loses its shape and feels cheap by comparison. Sometimes the old ways of making things just worked better.

It's wild how comfort went from an afterthought to a main selling point. You see it everywhere now, not just jeans. Mattress companies brag about spine alignment, and running shoes have whole labs for foot support. The marketing changed because people finally started asking why ordinary stuff had to hurt. It turns out you can make things that look good without treating the human body like a nuisance.

Seriously, I feel called out by my old closet full of jeans that felt like cardboard. I used to think being uncomfortable just meant the look was working, lol. Turns out I was just punishing myself for no good reason.
