Concrete footer started cracking after 2 days in the Arizona heat
I was in Phoenix last July on a big commercial fence job. Had just poured 20 concrete footers for a chain link run, and by day 2 they were cracking like crazy. I figured out I wasn't wet curing them enough with that dry heat. A old hand told me to cover em with wet burlap and soak it every 4 hours. Fixed the next batch perfectly. Anybody else run into curing problems in hot climates?

Man I know the feeling. My first summer in Vegas I poured a patio slab and it looked like a roadmap by the next morning. My mistake was thinking the sun would speed up the cure, not turn it into dust.
