Hit 1,000 linear feet of cedar fence installed in a single month
I just finished my books for last month and the total came out to 1,020 feet of cedar fence installed. I've never broken a thousand before, and honestly, it kind of shocked me. It was a mix of three jobs, two in the suburbs and one big one for a new horse property out past the city limits. The weather was perfect, and my two guys were on point, but it still felt like a normal grind. Seeing that number made me realize how much the small things add up, like pre-cutting all the pickets for a whole section at once instead of one at a time. Has anyone else hit a personal best like that and noticed what specific habit made the biggest difference?

Hard disagree. Pre-cutting saved my back and sped up my whole crew.

I get that hitting a big number feels good, but I gotta push back on that "small things add up" idea. Pre-cutting all your pickets at once might save time on paper, but in my experience it just leads to waste when you hit a weird gap or a slightly off measurement. Seems like you got lucky with perfect weather and good crews, which is more luck than any special habit you chose.
