Bend in the shoulder season is a special kind of gamble. You get that one warm afternoon and think you're golden, then the ground turns back into concrete three inches down. Seen a whole foundation crew lose a day because their layout string looked like a toddler drew it. The frost just pushes everything around as it melts. Makes you want to just pack up and wait for May.
