That Tuesday in July where everything went sideways with a rock
I hit a buried chunk of granite slab about 2 feet down on a job near Lake George, broke two auger bits and bent a third before I finally gave up and hand-dug the damn thing out. Took me four extra hours and I was covered in mud and sweat by noon. Has anyone else found something ridiculous underground that just wrecked your whole day?

two auger bits and bent a third" oh my god that's brutal. I would have lost my mind after the first one broke, let alone bending another one trying to get it out. Hand digging after all that? Yeah no I'd be throwing tools across the site. Was the slab at least useful for something or just a stupid rock in the wrong place?

Figure the slab probably saved your crew from digging through something worse later on, like a broken sewer line or a boulder. Sometimes those hidden obstacles are doing you a favor in the long run, even if they ruin your morning.
