Why does nobody talk about fermented foods easing workout recovery?

I mean, after lifting, my muscles ache less since I drink kefir daily. Maybe it's just me, but the gut health link is real.

Tried kimchi once before a workout and spent the whole session worried about a gassy mistake.

Try saving fermented stuff for after the gym, worked way better for me.

Used to be a big fan of pre-workout kimchi for the kick. Then I had a similar experience on leg day, just waiting for disaster. Now it's a hard rule for me, fermented foods are strictly a post-exercise reward. The peace of mind is totally worth the wait.
