Hit $10k in emergency fund last month and it felt weird

I've been self-employed doing flooring for about 3 years now. Last month I finally crossed the $10,000 mark in my emergency savings account. It wasn't some big goal I set, I just kept putting a little aside each job. But hitting that number made me realize how much stress I was carrying before. Has anyone else felt different after hitting a savings milestone?

Keep at it man, that cushion changes everything when a slow month hits or a tool breaks. You notice the weight off your shoulders in little ways?

Look at me, I'm out here acting like one bad month is gonna send me back to eating ramen in my parents' basement. The cushion is real though, even if my bank account's idea of a big cushion is more like a throw pillow.
