My friend told me my budget spreadsheet looked like a toddler's art project
They said my color coding was so chaotic it was giving them a headache (they weren't wrong). Now I just use two colors and it's way easier to actually see where my money is going each week.

Honestly I miss the chaos of my old rainbow spreadsheets. The two color system feels clinical and boring now. My brain actually worked better with the visual noise, it made each category feel distinct. I might go back to using highlighters just for the fun of it.
