My savings account hit $10,000 for the first time and I was shocked
I was just checking my bank app last Tuesday and saw the balance was $10,127. I mean, I knew I was putting money away, but seeing that actual number felt totally different. I started using a simple auto-transfer of $200 from each paycheck into a separate account. Has anyone else felt a big shift after hitting a specific money goal?

Nice! My savings goal is just to break even.

Know that feeling, @smith.blair. Honestly, breaking even is a solid win some months. I just set up a tiny automatic transfer to savings right after payday, like twenty bucks. It's not much, but it makes the goal feel real instead of just hoping money is left over. Takes the pressure off trying to save a big chunk you might not have.

Totally get that, even just breaking even can feel like climbing a mountain some months. The tiny forced transfer thing really works though, even if it's just $10 you forget about it after a week (and it adds up way faster than you'd think).
