Quick comparison: emailing my boss vs chatting in person saved me a huge headache

I spent my first week shooting emails about a project deadline but my boss kept misreading my tone and getting annoyed. Then I just walked over to his desk and talked it out in 2 minutes flat. Anyone else find that face to face beats digital for tricky work conversations?

Read somewhere that something like 70% of communication is body language, so emails miss a lot.

Oh man, I feel this so hard lol. Emails are just a total minefield for tone, especially when you're trying to be direct but not rude. I've had the same thing happen where I'd write something super clear in my head but my boss read it as passive aggressive or annoyed. It's a relief when someone actually gets it. Body language really does carry a lot of the message, and typing just strips all that away. People take things way too personally over text, it's exhausting. Walking over and talking it out is honestly the smartest move, it saves so much back and forth.
