Three months into my first desk job before I noticed I was writing emails wrong

I was sending these super long paragraphs to my boss and clients, telling them every tiny detail, until a coworker pulled me aside and showed me how she bullet points everything in 3 lines max. Turns out nobody reads past the first sentence anyway. How do you figure out what’s too much info vs not enough in a work email?

Ever notice how the length of your emails says more about you than the info you're sharing... I swear people skim read and just trust you'll catch them if something's important.

Short emails make people think you're efficient.
